Circles-4

Download

Circles-4 Gamma is the newest version of the Circles program. The software is currently considered shareware and may be freely distributed as long as the code and the initial credit screen are not altered.

The gamma version has all of the functions working except for the "water wall" generation function, which is still in the process of being debugged. The "water wall" function is enabled although the generated water walls will generally contain intersections and other errors. If water walls are needed, there are two general paths that can be taken to overcome this problem. First, the water walls may be generated with a zero thickness, i.e., the command is issued as "wall,0" and then using the coordinates from the "listw," "listp," or "output" command, the water walls are expanded by the analyst for the thickness desired. Second, the water walls may be generated with the desired thickness and the intersection and other errors can be corrected by the analyst.

Other than the "water wall" function, the program is working well and has been field tested with no problems. If you encounter errors or have problems with the program, please email us with specifics of the problem.

The following downloads are available:

Circles4.exe (Recommended compiled 16-bit Quick Basic executable that can run under Windows.) (It can also be run in DOS Mode but why would you want to. And, yes, it runs faster than the basic interpreter version and can reliably run in a window on your desktop. It comes with a white background so that screen snapshots can be printed using less toner.)
Circles Iconcircles.ico (Windows icon file and shortcut. Right click on the file and save the file with the "Save Target As" function and execute the self-extracting file.)

Circles4hr.exe (High Resolution Version of the compiled 16-bit Quick Basic executable.) (This version must be run fullscreen and will not run in a window on the Windows desktop. It runs at a 640x480 screen resolution verses the 640x200, and then extrapolated to 640x400 by Windows, version. It can also be run in DOS Mode but why would you want to. And, yes, it is almost as fast as the other executable version. It comes with a black background.)
Circles Iconcircles.ico (Windows icon file and shortcut. Right click on the file and save the file with the "Save Target As" function and execute the self-extracting file.)

Circles4.exe Currently not available (Compiled 32-bit VisualBasic executable.)
